Rummikub is an easy to learn game played by 2, 3 or 4 people. Developed from its roots in the popular card game, it uses plastic tiles instead of cards. The tiles are numbered 1 to 13 and come in four colours.

The aim of the game is to be the first player to lay down all of their tiles and declare ‘Rummikub’.

The intention of the group is to be slightly competitive, yet light hearted and fun.  Beginners will be most welcomed.

I moved to Verwood in 2002 and retired in 2009. I joined Verwood u3a in 2015 and have enjoyed belonging to several groups since then. I served as Vice-chair and then as Chair form 2018 to 2022 during which time I registered Verwood u3a as a charity, and signed up Verwood u3a with Zoom to maintain group meetings during the Covid restrictions.

My name is Penny Marlow and I’ve been a member of Verwood u3a for several years. I ran the Rummikub group before Covid, but never resumed, so now Jim and I have decided to  share this very enjoyable game again.  Easy, sociable and satisfying.
