Welcome to Verwood u3a
Verwood u3a is part of a National and International Organisation for people no longer in full-time employment, there are no age boundaries. Our aim is to help people get the most out of life by providing the facilities for group activities.
The Open Day was a great success with nearly all groups represented. We have groups from discussion and art groups through to music and badminton, and just about everything in between. Please click 'Groups' the Menu above to view a list of all our Activities.

The one-off talks are proving very popular. Arsenal Whittick’s enlightening talk about how he had coped and managed his autism was well received he sold 12 copies of his book “A boy called Arsenal”
Tony Wilson’s history of the actual building at Kingston Lacy was illuminating and a credit to his research. It will enable those who visit to observe with new eyes.
The next guest in November will be Phil Easdown, who is providing a teach-in on the use of mobile technology.
All three of these sessions have sold out.
Please note that one-off sessions require members to inform Mike Parsonage and that you intend to be there, it is important to do so. If sessions are full, turning up in hope on the day, might lead to disappointment. It is equally important to let Mike know if you are unable to attend, so that he can inform those on the waiting list.
If there are other members who might wish to give a talk, please let me know, or if there are topics which might be of interest.
