Interested in Family History? Beginner or expert? This fortnightly forum is a place to meet other enthusiasts to discuss aspects of research, share problems and tips and learn from other people’s experience (and mistakes!). 

This is not a group led by an expert.

If you are a complete beginner or are interested in getting started, group members can give information and experience on manual and computer based research, sources of information – and some of the pitfalls of using some sources and websites. Group members have in the past helped each other to break down those infuriating “brick walls” which we all encounter from time to time. We will share information and experience of using genealogy websites and family history software and try to highlight some useful websites. Most sessions will be general chat around a theme or subject.
