French Conversation (Intermediate)

Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
When: Fortnightly on Monday afternoons 2:00 pm-3:30 pm
Venue: Verwood Hub

At each meeting we have an informal conversation in French on a subject agreed at
the previous meeting. Each person tells a personal story relating to the subject. The
topics chosen are quite broad such as ‘holidays’, ‘food’, ‘a wonderful day’. Group
members ask questions, ask for clarification of unknown words and help with
grammar, vocabulary as required. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, we laugh a
lot and enjoy some interesting discussions.
We are a diverse group of people who have varying levels of spoken French and
varying levels of correct grammar. Although this is not a teaching session for French
beginners, we do include some games/activities to improve our vocabulary. This
group is quite new and as it develops, we are incorporating new ideas from the
group members into the sessions.
